Okamura was founded in 1945 by a group of technicians specializing in aircraft manufacturing, and was dedicated to the research, development and production of “moving products” such as fluid transmissions, and developed Japan's first domestically produced aircraft, Japan's first automatic transmission car, and along with the development of society, in order to meet the demand for a comfortable working environment, the researchers applied aircraft sheet metal technology to the metal furniture business, and applied engine and transmission technology to the logistics system business and the machinery business.
